This story is a response to the Challenge posted on Friday Fictioneers, which is a weekly blog link-up led by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields at Addicted to Purple. A story with a beginning, middle and end in just 100 words or below, making every word count. Here goes my attempt, hope you guys like it.
The Last Tiger
Dark night…full moon, covered with dense clouds, its dim light occasional…I preferred it gone.
In search of blood stink, dint wanna hunt….could do with other’s kill…am weak.
Last feed was a week ago, an infant can never fill me. Been searching for food since.
Gone are times when my territory had ample food, but after they came…am alone, starving to death.
A loud shot noise frightens me and I hide behind a tree. Stinging pain in my back, they are here…the humans.
They’ve killed us all and now its my turn.

Great story! Sounds like his time has come to an end.

Thanx @Priceless Joy. Almost all of them are facing such end. Cecil case prompted this post, read about it here: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/31/opinion/the-death-of-cecil-the-lion.html?_r=0

I like that you wrote this from the tiger’s perspective.

Very true and beautifully written. We’ve driven far too many animals into extinction already.
