This story is a response to the Challenge posted on Friday Fictioneers, which is a weekly blog link-up led by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields at Addicted to Purple. A story inspired by the photo prompt, a beginning, middle and end in just 100 words or below, making every word count. Here goes my attempt, hope you guys like it.
In their marriage of 5 years, Sia miscarried 3 times. When she conceived again, they prayed day and night. Grey convinced her that she mattered more than the child.
When they were blessed with a baby boy, healthy and beautiful…Grey and Sia were the happiest they had ever been.
Present: Sia died last year and Grey is being shifted to an old-age home. Their son is redoing the house for his wife and in Grey isn’t welcome anymore.
“Son, don’t throw that one…. I will take it with me. Your Mom looked beautiful on that day…!”
