This story is a response to the Challenge posted on Friday Fictioneers, which is a weekly blog link-up led by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields at Addicted to Purple. A story inspired by the photo prompt, a beginning, middle and end in just 100 words or below, making every word count. Here goes my attempt, hope you guys like it.
Living for now…
When it rains…there is a distance, that I cover. I fly to her and back.
Each time we met, it rained and she loved it. Droplets of water on her skin used to glisten like diamonds, but they, for sure more valuable to me.
Last time we met, it rained and she hated it. Heavier droplets of water staining her skin, kohl running down her face and my rain, I held inside… her’s, for sure more valuable to me.
I just live through the rains somehow, I am living for now.
