This story is a response to the Challenge posted on Friday Fictioneers, which is a weekly blog link-up led by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields at Addicted to Purple. A story inspired by the photo prompt, a beginning, middle and end in just 100 words or below, making every word count. Here goes my attempt, hope you guys like it.
A new life
Sometimes there’s less to take along, and something new is needed to keep you charged and living. You push away past and decide on new fronts. You promise yourself certain things and resolve on being strong. In short, you sow the seed for a new life.
Maria did this each morning. Each morning she woke up with her yesterday forgotten. And each day Sam ensured things stayed positive. That she fell in love with him everyday, that she laughed and sang everyday. With his only fear… what if she recalls what happened to her was his fault.
