This story is a response to the Challenge posted on Friday Fictioneers, which is a weekly blog link-up led by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields at Addicted to Purple. A story inspired by the photo prompt, a beginning, middle and end in just 100 words or below, making every word count. Here goes my attempt, hope you guys like it.
One last time
The times beyond and down the memory lanes I would not want to walk back to. Her shivering hands still never tiring, her body showed signs of aging but her eyes ever shining with hope. Her hopes from me that she never spoke of but I know hem now.
In those days of less means I’d seen her toil for a better life…not for her but for me. I wanted her to see me now….to give her what I earned while I was losing her.
If only…Just one last time….
