This story is a response to the Challenge posted on Friday Fictioneers, which is a weekly blog link-up led by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields at Addicted to Purple. A story inspired by the photo prompt, a beginning, middle and end in just 100 words or below, making every word count. Here goes my attempt, hope you guys like it.
Killer’s Secret
“Ever since the painting was added to our gallery, the footfall increased. End of the day, it got difficult to make those people leave…I mean they just kept staring at it. Now we charge more, only few people are allowed to see it. But the attraction remains, a person cannot just let it go…you see?”
“May I have a look?”
“Sure, but no snaps please.”
The reporter stood staring for a while.
“So…Whats it? Hey…are you okay?”
“They all…died” she said.
“What? Hey…lady…are you alright? Oh god not again…call an ambulance, fast.”
