This story is a response to the Challenge posted on Friday Fictioneers, which is a weekly blog link-up led by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields at Addicted to Purple. A story inspired by the photo prompt, a beginning, middle and end in just 100 words or below, making every word count. Here goes my attempt, hope you guys like it.
The Diver’s Treasure
Dad was the best of his time. Then they had those copper helmets with brass fittings, heavy and difficult…you see…have a look how this is. These new ones are easy, lucky these divers nowadays. I remember how dad use to scare us when we were kids, he use to wear this and come to our rooms at night and we used to scream for mum.

Mum is no more. Dad died early you know… the accident. The oxygen supplies failed that day. Hmmm…hope the auction goes well today.

At first I felt a good connection between the speaker and the Dad, but that last sentence changed everything. Good story.
