Being a Vagabond

This story is a response to the Challenge posted on Friday Fictioneers, which is a weekly blog link-up led by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields at Addicted to Purple. A story inspired by the photo prompt, a beginning, middle and end in just 100 words or below, making every word count. Here goes my attempt, hope you guys like it.

Being a Vagabond

“Life in most unexpected quarters, beauty in the most inane objects…thats the essence of my life…” said Lenny. Sten wanted her to be homed…settled, married with him.

“We can do this together…if thats all you want…” he loses the stand he had been firm on through past few months. Following Lenny, since the day they first met.

“Been telling you since Italy…Sten, just go back.[Sigh] I need to do this alone…”.

“We’ve done three on your list…we can do the rest together too…”

“That isn’t the dream…not you.”
