The Hourglass Curse

This story is a response to the Challenge posted on Friday Fictioneers, which is a weekly blog link-up led by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields at Addicted to Purple. A story inspired by the photo prompt, a beginning, middle and end in just 100 words or below, making every word count. Here goes my attempt, hope you guys like it.

The Hourglass Curse

Terra prayed in silence. Her soul was eternal so she would see them suffer and die….suffer from their own deeds and die quarreling.

She kept praying day and night…for their happiness and emancipation. She bore all their plight and moved slowly in her own galactic sphere. They hurt her more and more each day and she cried.

“The Hourglass curse, you cant escape it.”

“But I want my children to be happy, together and flourishing….” she cried to god.

“Your children will pay for their wrongs and nothing can save them from the curse.”
