Dry -This Monsoon

DRY – THIS MONSOON

Some places are hidden, some hideous…

Some places will remain dry this monsoon.

Some sessions are arduous, some chaotic…

Some sessions will remain dry this monsoon.

Some hearts are full, some brimming with love…

Some hearts will remain dry this monsoon.

Some faces smiling, some faces crying…

Some faces will remain dry this monsoon.

Some bodies wet, some damp…

Some corpses will remain dry this monsoon.

These lines are inspired by Cafe Dissensus Everyday post named This Monsoon: A Ghazal written by Manash Bhattacharjee. Recommended read for today. Quoting:

“Ink does not stay on paper in this monsoon
Such fire escapes the heart in this monsoon

As it rains, someone ponders the fate of love
Is there a lonelier occupation in this monsoon?”
