This story is a response to the Challenge posted on Friday Fictioneers, which is a weekly blog link-up led by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields at Addicted to Purple. A story with a beginning, middle and end in just 100 words or below, making every word count. Here goes my attempt, hope you guys like it.
THE HALF
Anny always saw the unseen…she lived in a different world.
She could make things beautiful or beastly…or both.
Sometimes paid, sometimes voluntary, she was a whimsical one.
She could never stand the rejected spot…the half – demolished building on Troy street.
Her heart called her to this….this what she adoringly looks at now.
Her work now the center of attention, she stands as a proud mother…anonymous, listening to the praises.
There it was…her work of last night, now in light…on the building at Troy street…
She named it THE HALF.
Lovely way to pretty up the ugly!
